Privacy Policy

General Dice ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and your rights when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

General Dice does not require you to create an account or provide an email address. When you first open the app, you enter a display name of your choice. Beyond that, the following data is collected:

Display name: The name you enter when setting up the app. This is stored locally on your device and, optionally, submitted to our leaderboard server alongside your game scores.
Game scores: When you complete a game, your score and display name are submitted to our server to power the public leaderboard.
Local device data: Game statistics, trophies, coin balance, equipped skins, and daily login streak are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device.
Purchase and subscription data: Managed by RevenueCat and the App Store or Google Play. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but do not directly handle payment information.

2. How We Use Your Information

To display your name and scores on the in-app global leaderboard.
To provide and improve the app experience.
To provide customer support when you contact us.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services, which may collect data in accordance with their own privacy policies:

RevenueCat — processes in-app subscription purchases and coin pack purchases. See RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
Google AdMob — shows advertisements to non-premium users. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalisation, subject to your consent via the App Tracking Transparency prompt on iOS. See Google Privacy Policy.
Apple App Store / Google Play — manages payment processing for subscriptions and in-app purchases.

4. Advertising and Tracking

On iOS, we request your permission via the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt before showing personalised ads. You can change this at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalised based on your activity across other apps.

Users with an active General Dice Pro subscription do not see advertisements.

5. Data Storage and Retention

Your display name and game scores submitted to the leaderboard are stored on our server and retained to maintain leaderboard history. No other personal data is held on our servers.

All other app data — game statistics, coin balance, skins, trophies, and daily streak — is stored locally on your device. This data is removed when you uninstall the app.

6. Your Rights — Data Removal

Because General Dice does not require account registration, there is no account to delete. To remove your leaderboard entries, contact us at the email address below with your display name and we will remove your entries from our records.

Local device data can be cleared at any time by uninstalling the app.

7. Children's Privacy

General Dice is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information through the app, please contact us and we will remove it promptly.

8. Security

Leaderboard data is transmitted over HTTPS. We take reasonable technical measures to protect information stored on our servers, though no system is perfectly secure.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
